The Central Region COVID-19 Response Team’s Primary Care Leads have been reaching out to family medicine and nurse practitioner clinics through the Primary Care PPE Survey to better understand the PPE needs within the community. The survey data will be used by Primary Care Leads for need-based planning, and action of PPE supplies if PPE is made available.

Updated IPAC Measures for COVID-19 – March 10, 2020 TECHNICAL BRIEFUpdated IPAC Recommendations for Use of Personal Protective Equipment for Care of Individuals with Suspect or Confirmed COVID-19  (2020)


Given updated information on COVID‑19, Droplet and Contact Precautions continue to be recommended for the routine care of patients with suspected or confirmed COVID‑19.  Airborne Precautions should be used when aerosol generating medical procedures (AGMPs) are planned or anticipated to be performed on patients with suspected or confirmed COVID‑19.
